Harmonization is a partner practice that helps us learn to harmonize with an opponent’s force. It has its roots in the push hand practice of Taichi. Once harmonized, you can redirect or nullify their force without having to exert excessive effort. It teaches you to be calm in a state of conflict and to use your body optimally.

Weaponry Cultural Heritage

Weapon practice helps us learn to be one with the external world. First with the trusted blade in our hand. Then with the environment, the opponent, and the universe.


Martial Dance is Yiyangmen’s free form practice. The practitioner allows their intention and energy to manifest in their movement freely, without preconception or internal limitations. Mudras, hand forms, guide us to move with the spirit of different animals in movement.
